- Picked up the djay Pro 2 Software by algoriddim that allows me to play songs directly out of Spotify and set up all my stuff in the kitchen. So for anybody w.
- Currently I'm having issues having my spotify premium account connect to my algoriddim djay pro app. When I log on to djay pro it's stating 'spotify login error' 'cannot connect to spotify (8)'. Although my spotify app works fine, it seems it's having difficulty connecting to my djay pro app.
I get your logic don't get me wrong. Again I would love to see spotify integrated into sdj but all I am saying is I understand the hesitation on the licensing end. We both agree that djay is being used professionally in some cases and I am sure serato knows this as well so wouldn't following suit be knowingly facilitating this? It is no secret that the people at serato often find themselves asking if the should do something before they even consider if they could. Problem is if I had to guess serato would be facing both issues. Spotify is very selective in who they work with as well. They have been pretty involved with djay but that is as far as that goes: vdj is pretty much doing what they always do and just accessing the spotify system as apprised to actually supporting it hence the reason you can only load one song at a time and even that only streams at 1.5x speed making it unusable for cue points or seeking or preview playing etc. I highly doubt anyone at stoic ever asked the question SHOULD we do this prior to can we for any feature they ever added.
As far as marketing towards noob dj's there is no gain in doing so other than monetary gains. I am sure serato likes money and if they are not jumping in this for a quick buck I would have to assume they have their reasons. I wish this one in particular would be added like yesterday but again all I am saying is I fully understand the reservations here. The juice must be worth the squeeze. The fact spotify does not allow you to use your downloaded (cached) music on your Hdd alone is reason enough to understand why this could never work for serato as it stands. You have software that states it works better with wi-fi off then add a feature that requires it to be on? I don't know about that. Pulselocker again does support local file use and downloading.

Not All My Spotify Playlists Are Loading On Djay Program
If I click either of the three tabs, a loading icon will appear and nothing will come up, i've left it loading for an hour and still it wouldn't load my songs, albums or artists up. Seriously, this is ridiculous one of the core functions of any music streaming service is unavailable on spotify for me.
