Step 1: make sure u have not installed scratch live in ur computer. if installed uninstall completely.
Step 2: Connect your SL 2 Box to your computer before doing anything.
Step 3: download serato Scratch live 2.2.2 (for SL 2 and SL 4) and install it. when it asks to reboot, reboot your computer.
Step 4: After the Reboot, Dont open live yet!
Step 5: Go to your Scratch Live Installation Directory (C:Program FilesSerato). In that open The 'Drivers' folder.
Step 6: there you will see a file named driver_updater32.exe . Right Click on the file, click Properties, click on the compatibility tab, below there tick the box that says 'run this program in compatibility mode for, and finally in the dropdown list below select 'Windows XP Service Pack 3'.
Step 7: Click OK.
Step 8: now click on the file driver_updater32.exe
step 9: it will Detect the Rane SL 2 and start installing the drivers one by one including the ASIO driver.
(NOTE: You will get warnings asking if you want to install the drivers. Here you need to select 'Install Drivers Anyway' option.)
Step 10: If it asks to reboot, reboot your PC.
Step 11: After Reboot, Open Serato Scratch Live, BINGO! You will see that the 'hardware disconnected' message no longer appears and now you can see both the decks.
You are good to Go!
