I have read and searched and waiting for a reply from Softube. BTW its not just Console 1 (but that is the most important atm). I have nearly every Softube VST (4 or 5 of um) in Studio One that fails to scan and is Blacklisted. Yet they all scanned ok in Cubase 10 pro, from the same folder they are in. The Mix View - Meet the Console Let’s have a close look at the Mix view – or the Console, as Studio One’s mixer is called. Although you can perform a lot of mix actions directly in the Arrange view, you’ll probably use the Console a lot for mixing. I found a quick workaround.

A community member wrote in to say “I recently acquired Air Xpand2 VSTi and while I was getting serial to activate (guess I was too slow) Studio One Crashed. Now when I open Studio One it passes over Xpand2 because it crashed and gives that error message. Any ideas how to fix? I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Xpand2. Thx!”
Yes, I have an answer and wanted to share it with the community…just in case you’ve never had this happen and ever need this little tip. This happens when any plug-in crashes. Rather than stop the Studio One launch process, it intelligently Blacklists the problem plug-in.This is great because S1 will ignore the plug-in when it launches so that you don’t keep having the same problem. But what do you do once you’ve downloaded and updated copy of the plug-in? Studio One still ignores it and I can’t use it.
Here’s what you need to do:
1.Open Studio One Preferences and click the Locations icon.
2. Select the VST Plug-ins tab.
3.At the middle-left side of the window, you’ll see a check box (“tick box” if you’re not American) labeled “Scan at Startup.” Make sure this box is checked.
4.Now click the button labeled “Reset Blacklist.
5.Once you’ve done this, you should restart Studio One.

Studio One will then rescan your plug-ins and, providing you’ve fixed the problem with the plug-in in question, S1 should now load it properly and you should have access to it in your Instruments/FX tabs in the Browser.

I hope this quick tip helps.
